The Burnett School of Medicine at TCU supports a new model of medical education centered on collaboration, technology, and experiential learning. Located in Fort Worth’s Medical District, the 95,000-GSF facility connects students, faculty, and clinical partners to advance healthcare education and training across clinical and health sciences disciplines.
As the initial building on TCU’s first large-scale off-campus development, the new campus serves as an inclusive and welcoming academic hub for 240 medical students and hundreds of faculty and staff. Benefiting from the clinical expertise and growing medical industry in the area, this transformative LEED Gold-certified facility is designed to educate and train students to be prepared as Empathetic Scholars™ and have a truly exponential impact on the community. The unique curriculum focuses on the future of medicine, medical knowledge, communication skills, compassion and lifelong learning – and is structured to advance partnerships with hospitals, health care organizations and biotech industries. CO Architects served as the Design Architect and Medical Education Planner along with Hoefer Welker, Architect of Record.
