Commissioned to design the architecture and interior of Fujiyama’s new 7-story headquarters in North Jakarta, INSADA masterfully transitioned Fujyama's headquarter from a modest shophouse into a purpose-built, ±3,400 sqm landmark facility. Set within a dense industrial context, the architectural design establishes a striking corporate identity through a bold, disciplined facade featuring a robust travertine-clad base, a rigorous grid of precast concrete panels, and vertically proportioned glazing subtly accented in brand-signature red. To mitigate the intense tropical heat and minimize the project's carbon footprint, the building envelope incorporates passive sustainable strategies; deep structural recesses self-shade the glazing to decrease solar heat gain, while custom architectural louvers are seamlessly integrated into the lower facade to achieve efficient natural cross-ventilation across the storage, packing, and loading zones.
Inside, the commercial interior design employs advanced space planning methodologies to organize a highly complex program into a cohesive vertical stack, anchoring public-facing and operational functions on the lower levels before transitioning into high-density open office layouts and private executive suites above. The brand’s identity is powerfully integrated throughout the interior using a high-contrast palette, where bold, red-lacquered architectural grid ceilings visible in the dramatic double-height lobby and main corridors contrast with warm wood paneling. This corporate permanence carries through to the ergonomic workspace, where glass-enclosed private offices maintain visual transparency next to open workstations, and culminates in an expansive, semi-outdoor rooftop dining terrace. Adorned with a linear timber-slat ceiling, energy-efficient industrial ceiling fans, and perimeter planters filled with lush greenery, this biophilic oasis acts as a bioclimatic buffer that naturally lowers the building's cooling load while providing employees a tranquil escape.
