A new horizontal platform for this part of the city-port waterfront. A new level of buoyancy, on the high tides, in front of the Santa Catalina cruise ship docking quay, on a filler breakwater reclaimed from the ocean in front of the port of La Luz and Las Palmas, before the isthmus between the beach and the port development. The proposal extends the city over the harbour bay between the naval base and the unfortunate commercial centre, which is a stopper in the opening up of the city to the port. In this context, this new free space generates a new staggered concrete and stone room, a transition between the bus interchange and the ocean, culminating in a horizontal surface suspended over the sheet of water tamed by the sequence of docks and harbour quays, crowned by a glass railing that allows the continuous movement of goods, containers and passengers to be enjoyed on different levels.
