Resulting from a space program and concept plan also prepared by Ballinger, the new Education and Biomedical Research Building is a research and instructional facility housing over 250,000 square feet of research space, core imaging facilities, teaching space, and a health sciences laboratory.Outfitted with the latest technologies for learning and discovery, the building is designed for current and emerging trends in education, such as virtual learning, smart classrooms, interdisciplinary collaborations, and small group endeavors. Laboratories support interdisciplinary teams in Microbiology and Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, and Cardiovascular research, and include facilities ranging from DNA sequencing to Bioanalytics.
