Capri by Fraser, Phnom Penh transforms hospitality into an immersive cultural experience, where architecture, art, and interior design collectively narrate the evolution of Cambodia. Rather than treating artwork as decoration, the project integrates commissioned installations, murals, sculpture, lighting, and materiality into a unified architectural language that celebrates the city's identity while embracing its future.
Inspired by the theme "Essence and Spirit of Celebration," every space is conceived as a chapter in Phnom Penh's story—from vibrant streetscapes and traditional Khmer motifs to the city's rapid urban transformation. Collaborating with local Cambodian artists, bespoke artworks were commissioned exclusively for the hotel, ensuring every mural, sculpture, and installation contributes meaningfully to the guest journey while supporting the local creative community.
The architectural design extends beyond interiors. A sculptural illuminated façade sign establishes a strong civic presence from multiple viewing directions, while carefully curated lighting, natural materials, and refined detailing reinforce the dialogue between contemporary hospitality and Cambodian craftsmanship. Throughout the hotel, warm lighting, durable finishes, and thoughtfully selected materials create environments that are visually engaging, operationally resilient, and environmentally responsible.
Innovation lies not in a single architectural gesture, but in the seamless integration of storytelling, functionality, sustainability, and placemaking. Every design decision—from custom wayfinding and commissioned artworks to energy-efficient lighting and locally inspired finishes—was carefully orchestrated to create an authentic sense of place.
Capri by Fraser, Phnom Penh demonstrates how architecture can become a cultural ambassador. By intertwining artistic expression with technical excellence and sustainable design principles, the project delivers more than a hotel—it offers a memorable destination that celebrates Cambodia's heritage while confidently projecting its future.
