The plot located on the southern bank of the Barranco Real de Telde, with a surface area of 17,120 m2 and crossed by the Barranquillo de la Angostura ravine, is characterised by its elongated shape, its relief and concavity, typical of the ravine it contains. The project worked on the pre-existing buildings and their surrounding spaces:
- ‘La casona’, Module A, a traditional house with a courtyard, linked to the agricultural past of this plot, a building included in the municipal historical heritage catalogue. It is rehabilitated and refurbished.
- Module B, linear piece at the back of the plot, between ravines. It is reformed and connected with an access compass that connects it with the whole and the outside of the plot.
- Opposite these buildings, on the other side, there was another single-storey building, Module C. It is extended to two storeys, with a play of volumes and reflections in which the staircase and the rest of the small connecting pieces introduced participate.
The variety and diversity of the building and morphology are added to the demands of fulfilling the educational programme. A complex is planned that forms a complete landscape, typical of the island's midlands, landscaped slopes with aeoniums, verodes and tabaibas, different stratifications, ramps and slopes connected by parts that besides allowing communication between the parts, are small places to stay where recreation can be spent. These spaces, almost sculptural in design, make this new school unique.
