As one of multiple projects for the Bergenfield Board of Education during the Summer of 2013, Solutions Architecture renovated an underutilized and storage room into a brightly colored and functional Art Room at the Washington Elementary School.
The design of the classroom incorporates plenty of built-in shelving and cabinets for storage of supplies, colorful vinyl flooring and seating arrangements that encourage group activities.
The existing brick and stucco walls were left exposed to serve as an art installation and inspiration for the children’s artwork.
