Inspired by ZARA’s initial idea, SKYnoa recreated a classic American campus scene for the ZARA x Butterbear pop-up. Nostalgia from the 2000s blends with today’s fashion, offering visitors a lighthearted and fun “back-to-school” experience.
Prints and colors from the apparel line are applied extensively to the walls, unifying brand identity and adding a clear visual rhythm. Bright pink and sky blue set an upbeat, youthful tone, while accents of retro grass green and vivid blue echo the nostalgic theme and keep the space fresh and dynamic.
ZARA’s playful vision of Butterbear takes shape as a real yet whimsical academy. The building’s facade is wrapped in custom wallpaper where childhood doodles, bold colors, and architectural details create a stage-like mood. This slightly surreal “false” front steps out of a cartoon world, with the “BUTTERBEAR ACADEMY” sign setting a clear narrative starting point and guiding visitors inside.
Through the main entrance is a hallway lined with lockers, like in American TV shows—once a student hangout, now reimagined as a product display. Spotlit compartments turn each garment into the star of its own story. Stickers on the locker doors hint at Butterbear’s presence, sparking curiosity and emotional connection.
A campus-style clock hangs on the wall, marking the rhythm of school life and serving as a strong visual cue. Visitors are invited to open lockers themselves, discovering each product as if rummaging for break-time treasures. This playful, unconventional display encourages interaction, turning shopping into a charming back-to-school adventure.
Beyond the lockers is a wood-paneled classroom. On the blackboard, illustrations of ZARA x Butterbear set the scene. Here, desks and chairs are for photos, chats, and quiet laughs, not homework.
