WH Bridal is a bridal brand based in Taichung, with more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
In recent years, the brand has undergone a transformation, refining both its identity and spatial expression to better reflect a contemporary aesthetic.
Following our first collaboration, this project focused on renovating the bridal fitting space on the basement level.
Although the original space was functionally complete, its layout still followed a traditional bridal shop logic, with central garment racks dominating the sightlines. Paired with dark flooring, black metal details, and direct lighting, the basement fitting area felt visually heavy, lacking the lightness and imagination that should accompany the experience of choosing a wedding gown.
Rather than simply reorganizing the dresses, this renovation rethought how one moves through the space and gradually approaches the gown she has always imagined.
By removing the original central racks, we opened up the middle of the room into a clearer and more spacious area for display and pause. Mannequins were placed at the center as the visual focal point, giving form to the aspiration and emotion behind the bridal experience.
Lighting became one of the project’s most significant transformations. A large luminous ceiling introduces soft, even diffused light throughout the space, easing the enclosed feeling of the basement while allowing materials and details to be perceived more naturally.
The fitting rooms combine partitions with hanging rails, integrating privacy and display. Through curved boundaries, curtains, and a suspended garment system, the space maintains both enclosure and functionality, creating a fitting experience that feels more fluid and balanced.
Soft light drifts through the space, where bridal dreams begin to take shape.
Here, every moment—drawing the curtain, stepping onto the platform, catching your reflection in the mirror—becomes a step closer to the version of yourself you have long imagined.
