At Ubá, architecture is understood as a continuous field between daily life and city. The project begins at the domestic scale and expands it, with 177 m² layouts that carry the spatial generosity of a house: ample daylight, cross ventilation, and a seamless flow between rooms. Rather than simply arranging functions, the design constructs an atmosphere, an urban retreat grounded in its context.
This approach is expressed in the façade as a dynamic composition. Solids and voids are orchestrated through railings and brise-soleils, establishing rhythm and depth. Vegetation moves along the tower, surfacing at floor level and softening its verticality. The curved volume of the vertical circulation gently disrupts the orthogonal grid, while L-shaped frames at the linear balconies precisely capture the surrounding landscape, bringing it into the interior.
Inside, the same sensibility unfolds. Curved surfaces, wood-toned planes, and natural textures create a restrained, tactile environment in which materiality shapes perception. Spaces connect fluidly, accommodating different ways of living while fostering a sense of belonging.
At street level, the building extends itself toward the public realm. The absence of fences along the front setback allows the base to become an open garden, blurring the boundary between private and public. A sinuous volume incorporates the parking and supports this gesture, enhancing the pedestrian experience and activating the edge of the site. Here, architecture exceeds its footprint, engaging the street and establishing a more clear relationship with the urban fabric.
