Located near Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, The Hub integrates business, retail, lifestyle, culture, food & beverage and many more, and designer Andy Tong has realized this vision by creating a naturalistic and fluid environment in this new cosmopolitan development.
To give a warm welcome to the visitors Andy has designed a nature-themed shop front which features smooth lines and layered movements. The aqueous, wavy lines then extend to The Hub’s interiors, together with layers of fresh, idyllic greenery, to set a refreshing and inviting tone that reminds the visitors of the private gardens.
The fluid movements do not stop here, as they continue in the adjacent pathway and beyond. Here the floor-to-ceiling screens, dramatic lighting and the conveyor-belt-inspired runway showcase create a ravishingly modern space that fits perfectly with the edgy products. The smooth curves are present in the media office as well, in which white office box-files stack together to showcase the mix of retail and commercial elements.
On the other side, the model display area, discussion area and the bar area all feature visually warm beige tones and smooth, rounding lines that occasionally form ripple patterns on the ceiling. The unique yet coherent design has vastly enhanced both the visual depth and the style of the spaces, giving customers a pleasing and memorable experience in The Hub.
