Designed for a non-conforming lot in the Oak Bluffs section of Martha's Vineyard, this home combines a lot of function into a tight footprint. On-island build pricing is notoriously expensive. Our design and build approach reduces the costs by combining a pre-fabricated panelization system with clever selections of construction and finish materials. On the design, we placed a lot of emphasis on the window patterning to ensure that the interior spatial condition was reflected in the exterior glazing. Double height spaces have double height windows. Long linear spaces have long, ribbon windows. The interior palette is gallery-like: clean, white, and minimal with moments of white oak in the flooring and millwork.
