Located near to the main hospital campus, the Center for Community Health is a new seven-story building that will revolutionize ambulatory care for Brooklyn. Expanding on the Hospital’s excellent outpatient services, the center will bring multi-specialty treatment to New York’s busiest borough. The Center blends into the neighborhood character, the architectural design is modern yet respects the style of the surrounding brownstones. The building presents as multiple small blocks which are seamlessly joined. Despite the massing of the building, a stepped façade reflects the neighborhood’s sloped streets and existing traditional townhouse designs. An exceptional design combined with the latest cutting-edge technology presents the Center as a warm, wellness-focused environment that will reduce wait times for patients and increase capacity to serve those who come through our doors. The facility now includes features such as a new cancer center with an on-site pharmacy, a twelve-OR ambulatory surgery suite, a new endoscopy suite and GI clinic with special procedure rooms, a cardiology suite, an orthopedics suite, a pre-admission testing center and an imaging suite, faculty offices, and full support services. The main floor of the center includes public functions, such as a health education center, a conference room, and cafe.
