Located in the tropical environment of Miami Beach, Florida, RR Residence delivers a contemporary aesthetics inspired by the intersection of multiple cubic forms. Negative space was explored by the correlation of voids on the concrete shell together with slatted wood panels for privacy and sun protection. The contrast of exposed concrete and metal with wood and stone creates the balance for a cozy and bold interior.
Surrounded by water and tropical greenery, the house invites the user to relax and enjoy astonishing water views. The open layout is emphasized by the furniture arrangement which is framed by large floor to ceiling windows and slated wood panels where privacy is required. Colors and textures are mixed and based on the contrast of neutral tones, raw and soft surfaces, cold and warm colors with touches of color on accent pieces.
