Lööki (Local dialect for Garlic) is an industrial kitchen built to serve approximately 32 000 people daily. Looking prepares meals for the Oulu University Hospital as well as schools and Kindergatens in the area. In addition many assisted living units and home-served meals are prepared here. The building must be efficient and functional to produce this many servings. Dispatching and logistics are also an important part of the equation.
The building was designed in close collaboration with professional kitchen designers. Top of the line modern cooking methods and functional spaces give the cooks an opportunity to focus on their work.
