At 73 stories, Infinity Tower—with its dynamic, twisting shape, waterfront views and first class amenities—redefines international luxury standards and challenges the conventions of residential high-rise architecture. The building’s unique, elegant form is its most visually striking feature. Positioned perpendicularly to the sea, the building gradually rotates 90 degrees while maintaining a consistent floor plate. This winding shape helps the point tower provide excellent views for its residents, while preserving the views for residents of neighboring buildings. At street level, the tower intersects with the ground at the promenade level with retail shops and a conditioned arcade. The tower consists of pre-finished metal panels on cast-in-place concrete perimeter columns with repetitive staggered screen panels that filter the direct sunlight into the units. The glass line is placed inboard, creating a deep sill which minimizes direct light and provides a screen-like effect on the exterior of the building—shading both the glass and terraces. The structural system is a cast-in-place high strength, reinforced concrete column superstructure. The shape and size of the columns were determined by wind tunnel testing and three dimensional computer modeling to analyze the building’s stresses. The building core is a cylindrical concrete form that provides the central pillar of strength for the building. The rotation at each floor, as the building ascends, occurs around this center mass. The building was constructed using a ‘jump form’ system that takes advantage of the buildings repetitive nature. The tower has approximately 110,000 sm of gross area with 456 units comprised of six unique unit types, ranging from studios to three bedrooms to six levels of half and full floor penthouses. The building’s residential amenities include an outdoor infinity pool and whirlpool and multi-use spaces on the 6th floor. Other amenities include a health spa, exercise facility, and conference centers.
