A previously undeveloped parcel of the Hunter's Point South Development in Queens serves as the site for a new 145,000-square-foot school for 1,071 students. Comprised of an intermediate school, a high school, and a District 75 special school, the building is designed so that its programs function independently with their own distinct learning environments while sharing common resources. For example, the auditorium is centrally located and dining spaces are placed on the top floor adjacent to a large outdoor terrace with views of Manhattan. The school's design complies with the requirements of the New York City Green Schools Guide.
