Located in Hengqin, a city redefining itself within the Greater Bay Area, Wimberly Interiors’ design vision for Hotel Indigo Hengqin is crafted around the concept of "Tomorrow Land". The guest journey is anchored by the symbol of the World Tree: resilience, connectivity, and sustained growth, grounded in nature yet aspirational in spirit.
From a lobby conceived as the roots of the World Tree, through avian-inspired all-day dining, branch-like circulation spaces, and butterfly-themed guest rooms, unfolding as part of a continuous narrative. Wellness spaces draw from the undulating language of mountain ridges, while guest rooms reveal an enchanted garden through pattern, texture, and quiet discovery.
At the crown of the World Tree sits the Red & Gold Lounge, a rooftop bar designed by Wimberly F&B, elevated above the city with bold deep reds, gold metallic surfaces, and expansive views that mark a moment of celebration and fruition.
“Rather than dilute our approach, we applied a disciplined sense of luxury through abstraction and precise storytelling, distilling Hengqin’s ambition into something palpable — an unmistakable sense of welcome, unique to the place, from arrival through to departure” – Paolo De Simone, Creative Director, Wimberly Interiors
