New image for Regma, Santander
Regma, the iconic ice cream brand from Cantabria founded in 1933, entrusted us with the design of its new shop on Burgos Street in Santander. This space aims to complement the brand’s ongoing shift in its graphic and aesthetic identity with a renewed visual image.
Our goal is to translate Regma’s most representative values into the store design in a tangible yet subtle way, avoiding obvious or direct references.
Concept and identity
Regma is already well known to us as a benchmark brand in northern Spain. We are told that its defining traits are the natural quality of its ingredients and a chromatic identity that distances itself from artificiality.
These characteristics, together with a geometric abstraction inspired by the imagery of ice cream, form the foundation of our project.
To shape this concept, we structured the design around a key geometric figure: a rotated square, a “rhombus.” This shape is consistently applied to ceilings, floors, and the façade, generating a distinctive visual identity throughout the space.
Materials and textures
The materiality of the shop is inspired by the colors and textures most representative of Regma’s ice creams, reinterpreted through noble and natural materials such as travertine marble, oak wood, and clay-based paint.
This trio of materials is complemented by stainless steel, an essential element in cold preservation, included to maintain a connection with ice cream tradition.
The result is a space that immerses the customer in Regma’s universe in an abstract and subliminal way. Through the use of colors, textures, and geometries inspired by the product and the brand’s tradition, we achieve a sensory experience that reinforces its identity and evolution.
