One of the only schools in District without a gymnasium, Stephen J. Gerace Elementary School in Pequannock just completed construction with the addition of a 7,500 s.f. Gymnasium and new entrance lobby with public toilets. In addition to the structure is additional parking and playground space for the children. The exterior skin of the building is composed of a combination of masonry walls with a rain screen system above. Diffuse light enters the space through translucent clerestory panels.
