DinellJohansson designed a fruit kiosk in central Stockholm, at Fridhemsplan.
The brief was to create a flexible and space-efficient kiosk whose geometry would adapt to the existing trees in the square. The ambition was to avoid having a rear façade facing the park; instead, we proposed glazing all around the kiosk, allowing the park to remain visible through the building.
The sloping roof and neon sign above announce the kiosk towards Fridhemsgatan. During the day, the façades come to life as the shutters are opened to display the fruit, which is protected by two fixed canopies and large awnings along the shorter sides.
