The Center for Global Conservation (CGC) is the 35,000 square foot headquarters of the international programs of the Wildlife Conservation Society, an organization dedicated to protecting wildlife and habitat worldwide. Located on the campus of the Bronx Zoo in New York City, the CGC represents best integrated management practices for people, wildlife, and the environment.Three mandates guided its design: sensitively integrate the building with its site; foster a greater sense of occupant well-being through strong connections to nature, and minimize energy and resource use. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
