Casa Central takes its cue from the vertical growth of trees — and from the view a tree top commands. LOOP Design Studio wrapped the building in an exoskeleton, a structural frame that circles the house the way branches wrap a trunk, blurring the line between architecture and the forest around it.
The design prioritizes elevated sightlines, lifting living spaces up into the canopy so the house looks out the way a tree top does — framing the surrounding landscape rather than closing it off. That same structure that shapes the view also mediates the house's relationship with its climate: the exoskeleton reads as both a privacy screen and a passive shading device, letting the home stay open to Guiones' tropical light and air while controlling exposure and heat gain.
LOOP led the project end to end — preliminary studies, master plan, and schematic design through construction documents, site coordination, sourcing, and interior design — resulting in a residence where structure, view, and climate response are a single, continuous idea rather than separate decisions layered on top of each other.
