This office renovation began with a larger master plan and rethinking of their existing spaces to create an office that is more open and collaborative. The plan focused on a strategy that defined spaces into four categories: “I”, “We”, “Shared”, and “Owned”. This strategy helped the entire client team engage in the design process and allowed them to understand how their program can inform and transform culture within their organization.
Phase one of the project added a “work café” and renovated lobby space. The goal of the “work café” was to balance work and play in a way that provided a social gathering space. The “work café” has been well received and instantly became their primary agency meeting area, lunch space and preferred teaming work area. It’s visual connection to the skyline view and diversity of working spaces allows for small, medium and large groups to gather simultaneously. The project also redesigned the main lobby and elevator lobbies on each floor presenting a new fresh image for clients and staff.
