The goal of the project was “from WORK to WORK WELLNESS,” a vision of the next tenant building, where a versatile place to work will be developed around the work. The concept was “PATCHWORK,” and the idea was to realize work wellness by connecting a variety of activities.
There are three design techniques. The first is a patchwork of materials. The second is a patchwork of spaces, using frames and lines as threads. The third is a patchwork of areas, each with its own distinctive ceiling and lighting, delivered to the user as a unified whole.
The facility will also consist of three areas (Dining, Conference, and Fitness). The “& BIZ Fitness” is an area with contrasting functions: a place for active physical exercise and a place for physical and mental conditioning and relaxation, as a fitness space by the side of work. Here, too, a variety of elements and venues are deployed in an inexhaustible patchwork of frames. In the gym area, the frame transforms into a line, a full-scale track, a basketball court, and so on, leading the tenant workers to the next with sports.
