At the entrance to the Schnals Valley, high above Naturno at an elevation of 1,120 metres, Oberversanthof sits proudly on the sunny slopes of the Vinschgau Valley. With dedication, courage and a clear vision, Michael and his wife Patrizia, the young couple who took over the farm, turned their dream into reality: a once-abandoned farmstead was transformed into a small architectural gem.
The character of the site and the passion of its hosts played a decisive role in shaping the architectural concept. In 2022, the project was selected as the winner of a private architectural competition. The existing buildings were carefully restored, while a new structure was sensitively integrated into the historic farm ensemble.
Set deeply into the hillside, the new building accommodates five holiday apartments. It not only blends harmoniously into the existing structures, but also establishes a powerful connection with the surrounding, almost untouched mountain landscape.
Its distinctive pentagonal form gives each façade its own orientation and identity, making the building a confident yet deeply rooted part of this exceptional place.
