With the Korean philosophy of reinterpretation and the desire to mix various elements and cultures without being bound by trends or norms, we take a deep dive into and reflect on broader contexts of place to find the right solution for the site and the client. With an open mind, we design original and unexpected spaces that resonate with users by reassembling even the most obvious elements. Through an architectural approach, we reimagine typologies to guide our space programming and approach spaces holistically. We layer and juxtapose them with rich design elements to create a well-balanced space that does not overwhelm, similar to how leftover fabrics are made into a beautiful Jogakbo, a traditional Korean patchwork. Challenging the status quo, but doing so in an understated way, is what we call 'eccentric'.
