The second project for this client on the same campus sought to further articulate YouTube through material expressions of motion and diverse forms of animation. On the building level, new spaces of vertical movement and visual connection become a backdrop for spontaneous communication. Sequential layers of shared amenity program and meeting rooms wrapped around circulation provide critical mass for community activity while sheltering quieter team workspace beyond. For the individual, radically inclusive all gender restrooms with coded full height stalls offer a spectrum of choice and privacy. Soft textile forms with integrated LED playfully subvert architectural walls, ceilings, guardrails. Shades of color, dynamic graphics, and bold signage facilitate and guide movement by responding to the viewer’s changing perspective and navigation through the building.
