The education center and greenhouse enhances the arboretum’s ability to further its mission “for the encouragement of horticulture in its broadest sense” through horticultural display, public education and outreach programs and plant propagation. The building is located near the College’s main entrance, adjacent to the arboretum’s headquarters, in a scenic landscaped environment. The project has earned LEED GOLD certification from the USGBC.
