At the centre of the SeaPearl Ataköy Project, a hotel and residence complex operated under the JW Marriott brand is designed as two distinct yet visually unified buildings. While articulated as separate volumes, the structures maintain a singular massing effect, contributing to the area’s urban dynamism while delivering a high-quality residential and hospitality experience. Positioned side by side, the residence and hotel blocks evoke Istanbul’s intertwined relationship with the Bosphorus and frame the experience of living by the water through a calm and confident architectural presence.
The buildings are wrapped in a lace-like façade derived from a contemporary interpretation of Seljuk motifs, creating a distinctive architectural identity. From the entrance axis onward, views toward the sea are carefully framed, and this visual continuity is sustained through the lobby spaces, reinforcing the project’s connection to the waterfront. All hotel and residential units are oriented to maximise sea views, with spacious rooms opening onto balconies and terraces. These outdoor extensions enhance the quality of living by blending interior and exterior spaces and enabling a seamless interaction with the coastal setting.
