Villa DUNE is a residential project designed by Manuel Ruiz Moriche, Creative Director and Co-Founder of ARK Architects, located within The Fifteen at La Reserva de Sotogrande, Spain, with panoramic views towards the Mediterranean Sea.
Conceived as an extension of its landscape, the project is shaped by the natural topography, orientation and views of the site. Rather than imposing a rigid geometry onto the terrain, the house gently rotates across the plot, allowing its principal spaces to open towards the horizon while following the natural descent of the land.
Inspired by the quiet movement of a dune shaped by the wind, soft curves, landscaped courtyards and generous terraces create a fluid relationship between architecture and nature. Interior and exterior spaces merge throughout the house, while natural textures, warm materials, light and vegetation reinforce a sense of continuity with the surrounding landscape.
