Located in the pristine environment of Tróia, Portugal, this private residence designed by SABRAB Architecture exemplifies a harmonious dialogue between contemporary design and the surrounding natural landscape. The house presents a bold composition of clean, monolithic volumes, carefully crafted using raw concrete, warm wood accents, and natural stone elements.
The structure is characterized by its minimalist geometry, where textured concrete walls contrast with vertical wooden slats and dark stone details, creating a refined yet organic aesthetic. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and open terraces frame the lush vegetation and Atlantic views, seamlessly blending interior and exterior living spaces.
Sustainability and site integration were key priorities for the project. Native trees and low-maintenance gardens soften the architecture’s strong lines, while the material palette was selected for its durability and capacity to weather naturally over time. The careful use of natural light, passive shading, and thermal mass strategies reflect SABRAB’s commitment to environmentally conscious design.
This residence stands as a serene retreat, offering both privacy and openness, designed to provide an immersive connection with the unique landscape of the Tróia Peninsula.
