Vertica - new headquarters
The need for additional office space and expectations of continued growth has created fertile soil for Verticas new location in Aarhus. The project's intention is to create a ‘Vertica space’ communicating the spirit of the company. The design symbolizes a dynamic and innovative company that has room for every creative idea.
Vertica is an IT company providing solutions for e-commerce, integration & EDI, web & mobile and processing optimization. In 2012 the company was voted the third best place to work and has been titled a ‘Gazelle Company’ in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Aesthetic strategic advice for the a modern dynamic business
The new Vertica Headquarters is a representation of the company’s image where the context exudes innovation. The building is partly preserved, and the decor is a deliberate blend of modern furniture and graphics contrasting with the building's historical setting. The design of the meeting spaces, with icons such as Pacman and Donkey Kong, puts into perspective the notion of development, as a link between past and future.
The architecture of these new headquarters takes into account the health and safety of the workplace, the notion of welfare, provides space for each employee's ideas, and enables the office to become a ‘homely’ place. Pluskontoret has provided aesthetic strategic advice in the form of proposals for the layout of the building, the graphic design, the selection and purchase of interior objects. The new building was inaugurated in 2013.
