[Exhibition: A Translation of Value]
The AUTHOR project stands out in the market due to its meticulous selection of quality, precise segmentation, and expressive use of materials. Behind this distinction lies the Vanke team’s determination and commitment to perfecting every craft. The creation process of the “GEWU: Investigation of Matter” Craftsmanship Gallery is essentially a journey of sorting and focusing on the various values of the AUTHOR project, translating these values to consumers through the form of an “exhibition.”
In the AUTHOR project, Vanke not only needs to manage the relationship between materials and craftsmanship but also to leverage smart technology to address the relationship between people and their lifestyles. Traditional craftsmanship exhibition halls can no longer satisfy the project’s expression of “luxury with moderation.” If AUTHOR is a proposal for a better life, then the “GEWU: Investigation of Matter” Craftsmanship Gallery is a tangible, self-narrating, and perceptible “catalog” of that proposal.
As people slide through the hidden door, light is evenly distributed along the corridor through the refraction of PC panels. The arrangement of the ceiling structure establishes a rational order in the space, which also guides the props and displays. Here, we aim to provide visitors entering the space with a rigorous and rational reading environment.
Upon entering the rear area, the lighting shifts from floodlighting to localized lighting, highlighting key areas and enhancing the atmosphere. Interactive and experiential displays revolve around circular installations. Immersed in this setting, we encourage visitors to engage with the design in a more sensory manner, considering its impact on all five senses.
Exhibition is a medium that facilitates communication with the audience, and the diverse needs of this project are objectively present. We adapt different forms such as array, focus, analogy, and deconstruction to suit various exhibition content, striving to find the optimal solution. Through these exhibition methods, the expression of information gradually transitions from singularity to diversity and experiential engagement. This establishes a new aesthetic effect and offers visitors a richer emotional experience.
