Cutting their teeth before the reality of the Klong Toey-project in Bangkok, the team from Universität der Kunste in Berlin and TYIN tegnestue organized a workshop together in Berlin from the 8th through the 16th of December. The workshop had binary ambitions; First, to test the principles and ideas of projects on a full scale. The project designs were submitted by third-year students that would later join TYINs team in Bangkok. The second aim was to create an exhibition space, in which the students could later present their results from the Klong Toey-workshop. The students researched different materials and building methods, and they got a good feel of how it is to work within a limited timeframe with recycled and unorthodox materials.
