Fogarty Finger designed this 56-unit condominium building in Long Island City, Queens. Located in proximity to MoMA PS1, the building’s design evokes the industrial past of the neighborhood. The exposed concrete columns and beams create a primary grid, while metal spandrels and wood infill panels create warm, tactile layers which delineate the scale of the façade. The unmistakable two-story high rhythm of exposed concrete and panoramic window walls makes The Jackson a true expression of the industrial aesthetic.
