Squadforce Tech Limited is a Canadian technology company dedicated to optimizing and enhancing the operation of contact centers and customer service operations through artificial intelligence tools. To establish its presence in Costa Rica, the company needed a collaborative headquarters, with multifunctional spaces and an image that clearly reflected the local environment, in order to differentiate itself from its offices in other countries.
The project, entirely carried out by Contract Workplaces, was developed on a 489 m² floor within the mixed-use urban complex Escazú Village. The building stands out for having obtained LEED Gold environmental certification in the Core and Shell category, validating its efficient and sustainable design.
The proposal, developed based on the client's premise, was built around a visual journey through the country's most iconic landscapes. This approach made it possible to translate Costa Rica's geographic and cultural identity into specific design criteria, color palette, materials, lighting, and surface treatments, creating a spatial narrative capable of connecting functional areas with reference ecosystems.
The layout balances daily operations with opportunities for gathering and wellbeing. The operational area, configured as an open space, supports hybrid work, open collaboration, and occasional privacy, reflecting a close and human brand identity. Meanwhile, a central multifunctional space intended for dining and town halls concentrates informal meetings and team events, optimizing the space without duplicating functions. Its flexibility, enhanced by technological equipment that even incorporates a ceiling-mounted microphone system, allows it to accommodate both the daily routine and moments of collective gathering, creating a memorable experience consistent with the project's overall concept.
Several wellbeing-oriented amenities were also incorporated, such as a lounge, a nursing room, and huddle rooms.
Graphics play a major role, with different styles, textures, and color palettes. The concept originated from the intention to reflect a different Costa Rican ecosystem in each space. Thus, the reception conveys the aesthetic of the tropical forest; the open space area, the Guanacaste savanna, with a predominance of earth tones; and the innovation room, the volcanic landscape. In this way, each of these settings reveals the energy of the activities that take place there.
The result is a functional and dynamic space that not only supports the company's processes and employee wellbeing, but also conveys the brand's image, with a local identity, to the rest of the world.
