Air Liquide Paraguay, one of the leading suppliers of medical and industrial gases, has been present in the country since 1939. Its activities cover both the public and private sectors, acting as a link between producers and end users of these essential supplies. The company has a facility located in a consolidated urban area of the city of Asunción, where logistics coordination, administration, and distribution activities are carried out. Although functional, the existing building presented inherited building conditions that no longer met current operational requirements or the company's current working model.
For this reason, and in response to the gradual return to in-person work, the company decided to undertake a comprehensive renovation of its offices with the aim of updating its corporate image, improving the work environment, and adapting the spaces to new collaborative dynamics.
The intervention, carried out entirely by Contract Workplaces under a turnkey model, was developed across a 256 m² floor while maintaining the original location but completely reorganizing the layout. The previous configuration of enclosed and compartmentalized offices was replaced by an open-plan layout, with support spaces specifically designed to foster teamwork.
The main entrance was completely redesigned and incorporates the reception area, cashier, waiting room, and a meeting room for receiving external visitors. From there, a central circulation path runs throughout the floor, connecting the entrance with the different areas: logistics, nursing room, private offices, meeting rooms, open space, and a dining area that also functions as a work coffee space. A rear entrance was also retained, providing direct access to the oxygen plant and facilitating the circulation of operational staff.
The project adopted a sober and contemporary aesthetic, with white predominating on walls, ceilings, and furniture, complemented by blue and red accents in accordance with the company's brand guidelines. This strategy made it possible to incorporate the corporate identity in a subtle yet effective way, reinforcing its presence throughout each environment.
The lighting combines suspended linear fixtures with circular acoustic luminaires, while the exposed technical ceiling, with cable trays and visible HVAC ducts, adds a contemporary character to the overall space. The furniture and equipment follow functionality and ergonomic criteria, with double workstations, acoustic divider panels, mobile drawer units, and integrated green spaces as part of the interior design.
The final result is a workplace that combines a fresh, contemporary aesthetic with functional spaces that reflect the company's values and meet the needs of a more modern, flexible, and efficient way of working.
