SOK is a dynamically growing network of thoughtfully designed smart offices, providing comfortable workspaces for rent.
The project aims to create a space with high-tech and comfortable flexible offices with a bunch of informal zones. There are a large range of equipped workstations, several meeting rooms, lounges and even a café. The coworking occupies two floors in the Federation Tower. The space has a complex geometry: the outer walls are mostly radial, there is an extensive elevator zone, many load-bearing columns, stair shafts and a continuous atrium. The bureau had to organize the space to conceal or exploit these construction features in the interior.
SOK City Coworking is positioned as a space that can adapt to for each client and meet any business needs. It is designed to accommodate all possible space options for different companies and processes. There are a bunch of different areas were made for use:
- Soundproofed individual call rooms. They can be used for video conferencing, live broadcasts, calls or simply to work in silence. To make these small areas cozier Adetail used wood, textiles and wallpaper of natural colors.
- Open meeting rooms for 2-4 people. The design helps coworkers be secluded from the rest of the office. Part of rooms repeat the style of call rooms and the others are made of original metal constructions designed by the bureau.
- Large isolated meeting rooms for 5-20 people. All of them are dedicated to the famous artists. It is expressed with colors, wall decor, phytodesign, and other accessories.
- Regular offices. Work areas, accommodating from 2 to 60 people.
- Isolated lounge zones. Rooms for work or leisure with sofas, TVs, acoustic equipment, video consoles, etc.
- A large open lounge area around atrium. It has individual places to eat or work, a tearoom, vending machines and even a loft-style bar, made of natural materials like wood and hemp. There is also a stand-up room for lectures, performances, conferences, etc. Adetail used suitable textures, light and colors to make guests feel calm and relaxed.
Each private area has its own design and theme. All informal public areas have different colors, textures and special lighting solutions. Original drawings and writings on the walls serve as navigation.
As the workplaces are rented on a short-term basis, all materials are not only environmentally friendly, but also reliable and long-lasting. Additional fire safety requirements have been considered due to the height of the building.
SOK City coworking is certified with LEED Gold international eco-standard, which confirms the use of materials with a low emission coefficient and recycled or reused materials. Among other aspects – particular volume of air per person, light and acoustic comfort and many more.
