The project area is located in the Black Sea resort of Shekvetili. 21 km from the municipal center (Ozurgeti). The resort is surrounded by both a road and a railway.
The region is distinguished by its naturally rich environment: the humid subtropical coastal climate, sea water, magnetic sand and Bichvinta pine groves, together create an ideal environment for both recreation and living.
The development of the resort began with more or less activity in the middle of the last century and has intensified sharply in the last decade. Due to the expected threats, in 2019, the urban development documentation of the Ureki-Shekvetili recreational area - the General Plan and the Development Plan - was developed. It was this documentation that was the main regulator during the design of residential building.
The size of the project area, the relief and the placement of trees and plants on the plot became the main determinants of the shape and location of the building. The one-story space is located in the eastern part of the plot, almost along the entire length, at the highest point in terms of relief. The main difficulty during the design was the separation of active and passive living spaces in the building. In the southern part of the building were located: kitchen, banquet and soft furniture zones, the west extension of which through the flowing facade is a fairly large terrace, a shaded and barbecue area. There is also an open pool, which seems to have found a space free from fir trees and responded to their height with its length. The building continues in the northern part with a winter garden, which plays the role of one of the main connectors between the front and back yards. The privacy and coziness of the bedroom part is ensured by the proximity of a large group of trees. A volleyball court is planned in the back yard and landscaping of the yard, as well as the entire territory.
The facade of the building seems to be in conflict with the “life” existing in its parts; in the passive residential part, very characteristic metal plates and burnt wood material have been used. In front of the aluminum stained glass windows, there will be a shutters. The background of the facade of the common space, which was achieved by the highest quality plastering and painting of this part of the building with a concrete texture, seems to have completely given way to the people living or visiting here and their ability to improvise, in order to breathe life into them.
Due to the relief features of the plot, the road and pedestrian connection to the territory is planned from the west. After passing the parking area, you will find yourself in the central part of the plot via a cascading staircase, where the unevenness of the surface is reduced to a minimum.
