Kanchanaburi is known for its perfect nature and long history. The city is renown for its significant play in national and international historical timeline, but its role in the modern Thai society has been neglected nonetheless. The idea of creating the new iconic tourist attraction that also functions as a local collective space is defined. Aiming to open up the abandoned area adjacent to the riverfront where two rivers meet, a 2,500-person event hall was established. The concept of "combination space" was used to define the concept of building's functional space. Rocks, stones, mountains and caves were the inspirations of form creation. These nature elements that represent the beauty of Kanchanaburi were translated into minimalist form. The sculptural shape of the building was a result from the contextual analysis of the site, in aspiration of drawing the public close to the building.
