this Hotel is conceived as a contemporary tropical retreat whose architecture is defined by climatic intelligence, spatial clarity, and a strong relationship to landscape. The project is organized around low- to mid-rise volumes framing a central water court, with deep roof overhangs, shaded galleries, and permeable façades responding directly to Hua Hin’s climate. Landscape and water are treated as architectural elements, shaping microclimate, movement, and experience, while the arrival sequence and public spaces emphasize openness, comfort, and a seamless transition between interior and exterior environments.
Rather than reproducing traditional forms, the architecture draws on vernacular principles—shade, ventilation, material warmth, and living within gardens—translated into a restrained, contemporary language. Natural textures, layered rooflines, and biophilic strategies create a calm, human-scaled resort atmosphere that is both culturally grounded and modern. The result is an architecture that feels locally rooted without pastiche, balancing environmental performance, guest well-being, and a refined expression of tropical modernism.
