Located on Michigan Ave in the Roseland neighborhood of South Chicago, ROSE25 is a 308 unit mixed-use complex of three structures. It comprises of a 14 story 144 unit terracotta clad highrise, two smaller 5 and 7 story structures. Along with the market-rate and affordable housing, the project includes retail, commercial on other public amenities. It will be located adjacent to a new (in construction) metro and bus station. The street is activated with a grocery store, retail, two story restaurant and outdoor seating. The ground floor also includes other retail spaces that complement and connect directly to the CTA transit station, the bus station and the parking behind the complex. A passage lined with live/work units connects the CTA parking and bus directly to Michigan Ave and the surrounding street activity. The courtyard, terraces, community room and other residential amenities connect visually to the street and surrounding community to create vibrant spaces that contribute to the greater community. Units on the upper levels will have panoramic views of downtown, Lake Michigan and the surrounding neighborhood. The intent is to encourage doctors, hospital workers and other people, who might leave the area to go home, to live in the Roseland neighborhood and take advantage of the amenities of ROSE 25 and create a more diverse and vibrant community.
