In today’s ever-changing business climate and unprecedented competition for talent, corporate interior design goes beyond creating a beautiful space — it is a critical tool for aligning the corporate culture, processes, and technology with organizational and cultural goals. The design teams’ objective beginning in January 2020 was to deliver a dynamic and environmentally friendly solution that best reflects and supports the client’s business and brand, with the flexibility, security, technology and focus on health and wellness to attract and retain professionals. The vision for the workplace was to find a balance between showcasing the clients’ global business and expertise with their proud local roots.
The carefully curated interior is designed to reflect both the location and the business branches with each of the nine floors having a unique identity. The nine different identities have corresponding colours, visuals, and materials resulting in a unique aesthetic that at the same time provides uniformity throughout the building and a classic crisp appeal.
The design maximizes access to river views and natural daylight and provides more flexibility with consistent open and closed offices and increased opportunities to interact. There are numerous spaces for impromptu meetings within strategically located soft seating or open collaborative spaces throughout each floor. These open spaces were balanced with acoustically separated private offices, focus rooms and meeting rooms to reduce noise transfer and maintain confidentiality. This consistency in design was applied to floors 9-15 to allow staff to choose how they want to work within a variety of spaces that meet their needs.
Level 16, the gathering space, is a full floor of collaborative spaces that allows for a secure place to meet with guests and provides internal training and exercise space within operable walls that open into event spaces. The reception, conference room and executive spaces are captured within level 17 whose soaring ceiling and customized features further emphasize our client’s brand and pride of location.
The office, completed in January 2022, goes beyond trends and establishes a clear vision that meets the demands of cutting-edge design that is classic, yet comfortable and approachable while still commanding a presence. This innovative environment provides all the benefits of quick connect technology and the comforts of home with a strong emphasis on health, wellness, sustainability, and ease of use. This focus on health & wellness includes the pursuit of LEED Platinum Certification, Fitwel Certification, and Rick Hansen Certification for accessibility.
