República 5-7 stands as a benchmark for contemporary urban rehabilitation in Lisbon’s central business district. Strategically situated between the vibrant Saldanha and Picoas hubs, the project redefines a critical urban block. It seamlessly integrates distinct functional programs - modern flexible offices, premium residential apartments, and ground-floor retail - into a cohesive, high-performance architectural complex.
The intervention harmonizes structural modernization with context-aware urban integration. The architecture is characterized by clean, geometric lines, expansive glazed facades, and an optimized structural grid. By reorganizing the block's volumetric layout, the design maximizes daylight penetration, enhances thermal efficiency, and creates fluid transitions between the private, corporate, and public spheres.
Developed in alignment with rigorous modern standards, the complex prioritizes sustainability and user well-being. The building incorporates efficient solar shading, advanced HVAC systems, and eco-conscious materials to reduce its carbon footprint. It features premium communal amenities, landscaped setbacks, and adaptable floor plates, catering directly to the evolving demands of agile corporate tenants and urban residents alike.
