New York City’s first LEED-certified house, this extensive renovation added nearly 80% to the home’s original volume while reducing its energy use.  Innovative heating, insulation and ventilation systems combine with passive solar strategies to save resources.  Flowing spaces radiate with light from all sides.  Recycled materials are used throughout, including site-quarried stone, salvaged mahogany doors, and slate roofing, and recycled glass tile.
