QLR VOLLBRECHT
The project brings together two complementary businesses — QLR (Quality Lease and Rental) and Vollbrecht Truck Center, a truck repair and service facility — within a 23-hectare site.
Our scope covered the architectural concept of the main façade, entrance and parking areas, as well as the interiors of the customer and administrative spaces.
The design is rooted in the industrial identity of the complex, translating the scale, structure and material character of a transport facility into a contemporary architectural language. Instead of softening the industrial context, we made it the foundation of the interior concept — using concrete, hot-rolled steel, glass and robust finishes as defining elements.
Within QLR, this language is balanced by natural timber, leather, greenery and custom furniture. Large open volumes and visual connections create a sense of transparency, while metal screens, acoustic elements and changes in scale introduce privacy without fragmenting the space.
The Vollbrecht Truck Center takes a more direct and utilitarian expression, reflecting the operational nature of the facility. Durable materials, darker tones and robust detailing establish continuity with the service environment, while carefully designed customer areas bring warmth and human scale.
Across the project, industrial robustness becomes a design language rather than simply a functional necessity. The result is a cohesive environment where architecture connects the identity of the businesses with the experience of the people who use them.
