AB Group designed Qamaria Coffee House in Charlotte’s University City as a culturally rooted, modern café that transforms an underutilized space into a vibrant community destination. Drawing from Yemen’s rich coffee heritage, the design blends warm, earth-toned materials, layered textures, and contemporary architectural elements to create an inviting environment that supports both social interaction and quiet study.
The team approached the project as more than a café—shaping it as a “third place” where culture, hospitality, and daily life intersect. Flexible seating, carefully curated artwork, and atmospheric lighting work together to create a seamless experience from morning to late evening. Through integrated architecture and engineering, AB Group ensured the space is both highly functional and visually refined, delivering a design that celebrates tradition while elevating the everyday coffee experience.
