AB Group designed the National Institute of Minority Economic Development as a mission-driven workplace that integrates education, collaboration, and storytelling into a cohesive spatial experience. The 8,000 SF office functions as a dynamic hub for entrepreneurship and community advancement, with flexible classrooms, open collaboration zones, and informal gathering areas that support training, mentorship, and networking. The layout emphasizes adaptability and accessibility through mobile furnishings, clear circulation, and visual connectivity between spaces, creating an inclusive environment that encourages engagement and growth.
The design is anchored by a warm, durable material palette paired with vibrant, brand-aligned accents that bring energy to the space while maintaining a professional atmosphere. Environmental graphics and large-scale murals play a central role, transforming the interior into an immersive narrative that celebrates influential leaders and economic opportunity. Combined with balanced lighting and natural daylight, the result is an inspiring and functional environment that reflects the Institute’s mission and supports learning, collaboration, and community impact.
