Pride of the Atlas – Equestrian Glamping Retreat, Marrakech
Set at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Pride of the Atlas is a contemporary glamping retreat that reinterprets nomadic Moroccan architecture through a refined, landscape-driven lens. Located outside Marrakech, the project is conceived as a low-impact hospitality enclave organized around equestrian culture and horseback riding as its central experience.
The development spans approximately 3.5 hectares, accommodating 40 luxury glamping units, each averaging 45–55 m² including shaded outdoor living spaces. The units combine tensile canvas envelopes with timber pergola structures and screened verandas, offering climatic comfort while maintaining visual permeability to the surrounding palm groves and mountains.
The masterplan is structured along a central water axis and palm-lined promenade leading to a communal lodge, restaurant, spa pavilion, and equestrian facilities. A dedicated horseback riding center, stables, training paddocks, and direct access to desert and mountain trails position equestrian exploration as both a recreational and cultural anchor.
Materially, the project emphasizes natural timber, woven screens, light fabrics, and earthy tones, creating a serene, immersive environment that balances luxury, tradition, and ecological sensitivity.
